A legend passes away

There was always a loving and caring heart inside which was often not visible.

And she cared not only for her family, extended family and friends but also to any person who sought her help as a doctor.

A friend who informed me about her wrote, “Corona curtailed another stalwart”.

May this Karmaveera rest in peace.

May God help her family to cope.

The makeshift arrangement to sleep under one fan in the outer room

With a hail-storm at 630 pm 31st May evening led to power cut and unfortunately we had no water as the overhead tank got drained as someone kept the garden tap open and it was swealtering heat and humidity and a batttery inverter for 10 people and a night to pass. We were reckless in the evening while using the inverter and used in all rooms hoping the electricity to be restored in the evening or by midnight as it has happened many times earlier. At 11 PM we had no hopes and decided to use two fans overnight or till it lasts. Rabi and family under one fan and Niyati, Mama, me, Sama, Nivin and Johan under another. Niyati used the couch. Sama , Mama and children and me on Gaddis. But it was still very warm for humidity and Johan was getting up every now and then. Electricity restored around 530 am and Niyati and Sama with Johan left for their beds but Nivin and Mama are still sleeping here at 730 AM and we've now lifted some water from the well.
