This is Bulu & Babaji. For years I've seen this man sitting here and chewing paan. He became close to me when he consulted Niyati for his daughter's pregnancy. Later he got his wife's surgery done through Niyati & self. His son as a young doctor used to work in IGH and is very close to us even today. Except for high blood pressure Guptajee never had any problem a year back. But during the last one year he developed angina pain for which I played a small role in his admission and treatment. Later he was operated in Ranchi Apollo where he underwent coronary bypass surgery. But his plight increased with a paralytic stroke after a couple of months. His sons and daughter along with their respective spouse and his own wife took very good care. But Guptajee never regained consciousness and passed away at Meerut where his son works as a colonel in the army. A simple, truthful and upright person Guptajee will be in my mind of many visiting Bulu's paan shop. His lively and in-depth comments on national and international issues and his sharp contradictions to Puhan Babu's suggestions will be remembered for many years. May this simple and noble soul rest in peace. May God provide enough courage to his family members to face the untimely demise of Mr. A K Gupta
