Niyati's farewell from O & G Dept., IGH

We both had joined Ispat General Hospital on in June 1981. She was our batch's best lady graduate and bagged a gold medal in Berhampur University for securing the highest marks in Ob & Gyn in MKCG Medical College. She had a long stint of more than 5 years in Delhi in different hospitals- house job in Safdarjung Hospital, Post-graduate diploma in Ob & Gyn in St. Stephens Hospital and later worked in Kasturba Hospital. She always wanted to come back to Orissa to serve it was an opportunity for both of us to be accommodated in SAIL, RSP- first in its mines division at Purunapani and Tensa and later in its main hospital- Ispat General Hospital. We've gone through a lot of happiness and turmoil here in this hospital and she has developed herself in a very unique way with her colleagues, patients and the public. Her departmental colleagues and staff bade her farewell on 23rd September- much ahead of her day of superannuation- as Durga Puja intervened in between.
