Ranjan's Reception- Jamshedpur-30th November 2007

Ranjan Ray is a young architect from Jamshedpur with a lot of promises for future, but the reason I attended his reception was close proximity to his father Dr. Banambar Ray who now heads TISCO's hospital in Jamshedpur. From my graduation days in Berhampur, this man has been very encouraging and been my main guide, mentor and motivator to get into Anesthesia. The family as a whole has shown enough love to ours and I felt bad when I couldn't be a part of the entourage in BAARAT to Lucknow but tried to make up with Prafulla Bhaina to attend Ranjan's reception in Jamshedpur on 30th November 2007.

This 95 year old ascetic who still refuses to hold any assistive device while walking used to be my elder sister's father-in-law some two decades ago. Based at the Arya Samaj Ashram in Vedvyas, Rourkela, we are fortunate to have his presence at our place for a couple of days some 3-4 times a year. A great soul he has always blessed us all and particularly Mama.
