Niyati's garden on 5th June 2005. The summer of 2005 will be a memorable one. During our 24 years stay in Rourkela the summer never felt so severe but then it was not only Rourkela but the whole of the State of Orissa has experinced the same thing. The monsoon was delayed and still not arrived even in coastal districts till this blog was being written but Niyati took all the pains to care for her plants in her small garden.

The Patis of Balasore
Manoranjan Pati and his wife Sunya Nani came into my life after my marriage to the later's youngest sister. The Patis are blessed with five sons and one daughter- all of them married and employed. Manu Gain after retirement now lives a spartan life at Balsore the coastal town in Orissa. This family is overtly popular with all their relations because of their hospitality and warmth. The pictures to follow are from this falily.
