Utkala Dibasa 2012

This is the 24th year of celebration of Utkala Dibasa by a group of doctors spaerheaded by Major Dr. Ganeswar Sahoo. The venue has changed from Sector-19 Shiva Temple to Sector-14 Laxminarayan Temple. But the organiser always made it a point to not to allow ladies in this celebration. But with a good number number of doctors shifting base to Bhubanswar after retirement, the number of participants in recent years was dwindling and the Major decided to allow ladies in the celebrations and for the first time the ladies sang " Bande Utkala Janani....." with melody, verve and elegance- of course without any music. Long live women's participation in Utkala Dibasa celebrations in coming years.
